Common Core Content Activity: Central Idea
Central Ideas: In these activities, we learn how to find the central idea, supporting details, analyze text, and write a summary. The students are introduced to a set of twins (Sara and Tony) who explain the wonders of Washington DC. Sara and Tony explore 6 different vacation spots in the DC area. Throughout the unit, the students practice activities on real-life examples.
Each activity is completed on two different levels for differentiated instruction. It comes with Bulletin Board pictures and definitions.
Also included is a Practice Assessment, answer key, vocabulary cards, ‘chapterbook,’ and work folder activities.
