Central Idea with Details: In these activities, we learn how to find the Central Idea, supporting details, and summarize the text. A family is touring Washington DC’s famous tourist attractions to help with understanding and learning how to determine the central idea. Throughout the unit, the students practice activities on real-life examples.
This unit includes supplies to create different work folders for independent student activities.
Each activity is completed on two different levels for differentiated instruction. It comes with Bulletin Board pictures and definitions.
Also included is a Practice Assessment test with a student response sheet.
