Common Core Content Activity: Central Idea
Central Idea: In these activities, we learn how to find the Central Idea with a relationship to character, setting, and plot. The students are introduced to two elementary school students who are using tourist attractions in Tennessee to help with the understanding and learning how to determine the central idea. Throughout the unit, the students practice activities on real-life examples. This unit includes supplies to create 3 different work folders for independent student activities.
Each activity is completed on two different levels for differentiated instruction. It comes with Bulletin Board pictures and definitions.
Also included is a Practice Assessment test with a student response sheet.
